Different Color Diamond Stones

COLOUR

The finest diamonds are considered to be completely colourless. Diamonds are graded on a colour scale established by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) which ranges from D (exceptionally white) to Z (yellow). Difference in colour between one diamond and the next can be very subtle. Experts determine the colour of a diamond by comparing it to a ‘master diamond’ under controlled lighting. The diamond is then given a grading between D – Z on the colour scale.
