Jun 24, 2007 · I've read that you can use Original Alka Seltzer (put into water, just like you'd normally use it) to clean jewelry by letting the jewelry soak in it. I'm wondering if this is common, safe, etc. My rings are white gold with diamonds. Seems awfully abrasive sounding to me, I would hate to end up with scratchy looking rings and I certainly don't want to hurt the diamonds...
