Background. Holly Belsher uses precious metals to make jewellery inspired by the natural world and the English countryside in particular. Born in Exeter, raised in Suffolk, her happiest memories are of hours of turning over pebbles on Felixstowe & Aldeburgh beaches to find carnelians and fossilised sharks teeth, picking up jays feathers, discovering a pheasants nest full of eggs in a field.

Holly Belsher In 1977, Holly completed a BA (hons) degree in Jewellery Design at Central St Martins and then went on to gain an MA at the Royal Collage of Art. Holly has shown and sold her work across the UK as well as internationally in the USA, Japan, Germany, Holland, France and Denmark.

The beauty of the British countryside is a constant source, the textures and colours of the landscape, the flora and fauna, pebbles from a beach, the patterns of bare twigs in winter all provide starting points for her jewellery.
