    Mar 19, 2013 · As the story goes it was the "newer" stove in the house to replace the original (the Jewel) by the original owner of the house. She used it until she sold the house to them about 10-15 years ago (my memory is fuzzy on that). They say that she had that Jewel moved to the basement for canning every year, so it supposedly works too.
