The hold on this wax is great, it only takes a very small amount to get the job done, so it's easy to hide the wax under a piece such as a ring standing up on a flat surface. It's only as messy as one can expect wax to be, it doesn't run, and if you handle it properly, it won't make a mess at all. If you're sloppy, any wax can get messy. So yes, it's as easy to work with as any other quality wax.2.7/5

A paraffin wax ball at the tip of each plastic stick holds small stones securely while you place them. Simply touch the wax end to the top of the jewel to pick it up. Apply an adhesive to the setting and place the stone. Use the pointed end of the stick to make any adjustments that may be needed to achieve the precise positioning you want.

Nov 14, 2019 · Isn't museum wax the same thing as Renaissance wax? That's a protectant & preservative. I have a holding wax I don't use because it's too stiff and hard to knead into a softer ball. I use sticky tack or poster tack, which doesn't stick to jewelry or whatever you're using as a surface. It's especially good at rolling off of background papers.

White putty or prop wax for rings and bracelets: To get a ring to stand, I use white putty or prop wax. I prefer this white putty because it doesn’t make your fingers and product sticky. But prop wax is another option to try. Put a tiny bit of this under the ring to make it stand – amazon link.
